Be prepared to provide the following information when scheduling the appointment:
As the abuse of opioid and narcotic medications becomes an epidemic, Tri Rivers pain management physicians take a proactive approach to managing pain from musculoskeletal injuries. They follow current Agency Medical Directors’ Group (AMDG) best-practice guidelines when prescribing narcotics and also promote the use of effective alternative pain-management techniques.
Treatment plans include physical therapy, exercise, non-narcotic medicine and nonsurgical treatments. The physicians also use EMGs and nerve conduction studies to determine the cause of the injured worker’s pain.
